Is it a good or bad thing that new Dancehall breakthrough artist Alkaline is included in Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night Lineup.
Alkaline has been included in the lineup of this year’s Reggae Sumfest dancehall night that will take place this July at the Catherine Hall Entertainment complex in Montego Bay.
It will be Reggae Sumfest’s 22nd annual show, slated for July 17 with guest appearances of some big names in the dancehall industry such as Bounty Killer, Mr. Vegas, Agent Sasco, Aidonia, Spice and more.
“This year’s staging will be an entertainment package guaranteed to please, and music lovers should take advantage of the early-bird tickets special to make sure that they can be part of an unforgettable musical experience in Montego Bay come the 13th of July,” Johnny Gourzong, Summerfest Production director, said in a statement.
Other performers for the gae Sumfest dancehall night includes I-Octane, who closed the show last year, Bugle, QQ, and Tommy Lee.
For those interested to take part in one of the greatest reggae show, the event will take place on July 13 to 19 in Montego Bay
There has been a lot of controversy recently surrounding this artist but personally I think its a good look that Alkaline is Included In Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night Lineup. Many have compared him to Vybz Kartel or Popcaan, I don’t feel he is anywhere close to that calibre but he has been consistently putting out hits in 2014 and will have a decent enough catalog to entertain the crowd so I say give the youth a chance.
