Rapper DG was arrested last Friday, March 14 in Atlanta for murder charges.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, DG was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and attempted robbery.
DG Yola, whose real name is Mario Talley, shot two men outside an apartment complex last March 9. Rodney Walker, one of those two men was found dead by the police with multiple gun shot wounds. Isiah Knight, the other man claims that he was robbed and shot outside of the apartments. He was then rushed to the Grady Memorial hospital where he was treated.
In 2007, DG Yola was actually a victim of a shooting incident too. A gunman, who was in another vehicle, shot him while he was in his car at a red light. He survived the incident but the bullet ripped through his jaw, requiring surgeons to put a metal plate in his mouth. He even documented his entire recovery in the hospital through his YouTube channel.
DG Yola is best known for his 2006 hit song, “Ain’t Gonna Let Up,” which got its inspiration from his shooting.
