Looks like Waka Flocka won’t be performing in Australia for quite a while. The Atlanta rapper was forced to cancel some of his tours, specifically in Australian and New Zealand brought about by Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection denying his entry to the aforementioned countries due to allegations of firearm and drug possession. The hip hop artist was said to perform at 4 spots in Australia and 2 venues in New Zealand. Although he was approved in New Zealand, he was denied in Australia which lead him to cancel all 6 dates eventually.
Robin Fernando, the event’s main promoter, announced via Facebook that the tour will not push forward. They informed those who bought tickets that ticket holders will be contacted and have their purchase reimbursed – through Non Stop Tix, the event’s ticketing outlet. The promoter added that Waka Flocka’s world tour will have to be moved on a later date. They did announce that ticket buyers will be notified of the rapper’s rescheduled dates – plus they will be given priority on presale tickets of the canceled tours. They made an assurance in their public apology that, although they were unable to push through with Waka’s concert in New Zealand, they promised to bring in more hip hop acts and will persevere in making such happen.
Moving forward, Waka Flocka Flame is looking to continue touring in other places like Arizona, New Jersey, San Diego and Canada in the remaining days of May and the upcoming days of June.
