Jeezy Posts $1 Million Bail, Pleads Not Guilt To Gun Possession
After spending a few days in jail, Jeezy is now free after he posted $1 million bail last Thursday night, August 28.
The Atlanta rhymer was arrested last Sunday, August 24 in California for weapon chargers.
Last Tuesday, August 26, Jeezy, born Jay Wayne Jenkins, pleaded not guilty to the gun possession charges filed against him after they discovered an AK-47 inside his tour bus. Five other individuals were also charged and arrested for the same reason.
“All six men have posted bail and are currently being processed,” CTE’s Steve “Steve-O” Carless said in a statement to MTV News. “They will be out shortly.”
Jeezy was arrested while he was doing the Under the Influence of Music tour, which was eventually cancelled after a 38-year-old man died after he got shot and killed backstage last Saturday, August 23 at a show in California.
However, representatives of Jeezy have confirmed that the arrest will not stop the release of his upcoming album, ‘Seen It All: The Autobiography,’ which is set to hit stores on September 2.
The rapper’s next scheduled court date is on September 5.
