Taylor swift announced a list of celebrities who will be featured in the music video of her upcoming single “Bad Blood” via her Twitter post. Among the many stars listed, the American hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar was set to star as a certain “Welvin Da Great” character in the song’s musical video.
Kendrick was said to be one of the many artists whom Taylor listens to whenever she’s stressed, as mentioned in the Rolling Stone magazine where she was cover girl. Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” is one of the songs that Taylor listens to whenever she’s facing a trying situation. In her Instagram account, she posted a video where she was seen lip-syncing to the said song. To show that Taylor Swift is totally a fan of Kendrick Lamar, she was swift to tweet when Lamar released his album. Kendrick returned the favor by freestyling to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”
Other celebs that would be included in the “Bad Blood” video are Elle Goulding, Lena Dunham, Zendaya and more. The video will be directed by Joseph Kahn who happens to have won quite a number of MTV Video Music Awards already. He is known to be behind the music videos of various popular artists like Britney Spear’s “Toxic” and “Womanizer”, Chris Brown’s “Forever”, Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up”, Eminem’s “We Made You”, “Without Me” and “I Love the Way You Lie”, Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas” and Janet Jackson’s “Doesn’t Really Matter.”
The said music video will be released this coming May 17, Sunday during the Billboard Music Awards.
