Recently shared to Billboard Magazine, Mariah Carey To Release By Surprise Her Upcoming Album. This is Mariah Carey’s long-awaited 14th studio album, and it seems the Diva is aiming to do what Beyonce did for her self-titled release album.
Her album went through a lot from being titled to untitled, then due for release then delayed. This all started in summer of 2012 when the singer released “Triumphant,” which floundered and started the series of delays until this year’s “You’re Mine (Eternal).”
Since it will be a surprise release, the singer’s fans can expect that it will be released first digitally before it will be available to retailers after one week.
The surprise approach seems to be catching on as aside from Beyonce, other artists like Kid Cudi and Skrillex released their albums without any notice.
Peps Final Say
In order for Mariah Carey To Release By Surprise Her Upcoming Album and gain full return and appreciation from her fans she will need to use a different approach than Beyonce. The fact that everyone is aware of Mariah’s forthcoming album isn’t really a surprise because the anticipation is already come and gone as it was originally due for release back in 2012. When Beyonce did it no one actually knew Beyonce was even working on an album so when it dropped everyone went crazy. LOX had some success with the similar approach as Beyonce as fans have been eager to hear Styles P Jada and sheek louch link up on a track again.
Don’t get me wrong Mariah has a huge fan base and her album will do really well regardless but the element of surprise is 50/50 if it will work.
