Rolling Stone Announces Their 50 Best Albums of 2013

Rolling Stone has recently announced their “50 Best Albums of 2013.”

According to their website, Rollingstone.com, Kanye West got the highest ranked Rap album with Yeezus.

“Kanye’s electro masterpiece is his most extreme album ever, which is saying something,” Rolling Stone writes regarding Yeezus. “No wonder the late, great Lou Reed embraced Yeezus, since it’s basically the Metal Machine Music concept translated into futuristic Hip Hop, all industrial overload and hyper-tense egomania and hostile vibes.”

Other albums that got into the list include Drake’s Nothing Was the Same that ranked at #14 and Danny Brown’s Old that got the #17 spot.

Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, garnered the 24th spot, Chance The Rapper’s Acid Rap ranked at #26 and Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz landed #27 on the list.

At ranked #33 is Pusha T’s My Name Is My Name, J. Cole’s Born Sinner got 41st spot, Earl Sweatshirt’s Doris ranked #42, while M.I.A.’s Matangi raked the #47.
